Looks like this dude is working security. After all, we Boxers are a working breed.

I read something on the web about black boxers. They were used by German police in the early 1900s because unlike white or fawn boxers, the black ones were harder to see at night, and were thus better at sneaking up on criminals. Apparently the black Boxers were almost bred out of existence due to the dominant styles of fawn and brindle.
What a cutie! Most of all I love his lips. I bet they flap around when he runs.
Actually, a "black" boxer is genetically impossible. Any "black" boxers that you may see are probably a reverse sealed brindle (heavy heavy brindling with a dark fawn base) or mixed with something else.
anonymous: check out these black boxers. They are solid black, not reverse brindle. But I agree that there must be some *interesting* breeding going on...and here is that source on black Boxers in Germany.
Wow, he can watch World Cup live! How lucky!
Looks a little like our dog Mag. Brindles are cute, too.
Thanks for your information on this page. It is certainly beneficial to know more and be able to put it into a good use. Here is another page that may be of interest to some http://www.dog-breeds.adopt-a-dog-a-pet.com/Brindle-Boxers.php
