I was hoping to become the first canine participant at a World Cup competition. Unfortunately, I just learned that the honor is already taken. A scruffy black dog played in the England-Brazil match during the 1962 World Cup:
Well, at least I'll be the first Boxer when I play. But which team should I play for? I live in the United States, I understand Spanish and English, I'm named after an Egyptian capital and my breed is from Germany.

A Peculiar Pug
Can you pee upside down?
I'm not sure why but this male pug in Changchun, China prefers to do his business upside down. Looks rather difficult and uncomfortable to me. Any of you guys out there do this?

Cairo Meets Cooper
My friend Cassidy and her parents met some Boxer owners at our local dog park last week. Their female just had litter of eight puppies. The puppies were now eight weeks old and up for sale.
Cassidy's parents got her a little brother! His name is Cooper:
Both Cooper and Cassidy came to visit on Sunday. Here I am checking him out...
I don't know why he was scared of me. I only whacked him on the head a few times.
After he left I grew worried. Were my parents going to get a new Boxer puppy? Would I be replaced by a younger, cuter model? I started acting really affectionate with my parents in hope of convincing them not to get another puppy, so that I could remain the top dog - the alpha female!
Apparently my plan worked. My parents decided not to get another dog for the time being. They said they enjoy just having me right now (and that the house is too small for two humans and two dogs!).

It's a Hard Knock Life
I typically enjoy lounging on the couch and watching TV. However, this week I had to endure some awful programming, and my ears have not yet recovered from the damage.
First, I watched some of the president's State of the Union speech. Isn' t this the same speech he gave the last two years in a row? Boring boring boring! And not one mention of canine suffrage or doggie civil rights. Then I watched some of the American Idol auditions. My ears are still ringing from the horrible wannabe singers. I need to learn how to operate the remote control. Next time this crap comes on the television I'm changing the channel!

I Need To Learn Dutch
...because if they don't sell this canine beer in the United States then I'm moving to the Netherlands!

Bad to the Bone
As you may know, last week my boyfriend Cubby had surgery for an eye ulcer. I'm glad to read that he is recovering well and having fun playing "cone wars" with Dakota.
I want to stress the importance of eye safety - so one of my recommendations for 2007 is protective eye wear for dogs. Above I am modeling the latest design. See, you can look cool and fashionable while protecting your eyes!!

Without Further Ado...
Here's pics from my vacation!
My grandparents always placed great smelling food up on their counters. They offered me some bananas and blueberries one day, but I don't like fruit! Silly humans...
There's Rocky and I ready to walk to the park.
Everyday I played with my new soft frisbee. I love jumping in the air and catching the frisbee.
That tired me out. I tried sleeping in Rocky's bed, but it's only large enough to fit a pug, not a boxer!
So we both shared the larger plush bed.
Toward the end of my vacation I found this cool plastic stick in my grandpa's bathroom. I was having fun chewing on the stick when my grandpa walked it the room and yelled, "Oh my God! She's eating my razor!".
I'm not sure what a razor is, but apparently it's bad. My grandpa couldn't find the blade so he thought I swallowed it. They immediately rushed me to the veterinary emergency hospital where I got some cool x-rays. Luckily the razor thing was not in my belly. I guess I'll stay away from those razor sticks for now on.

Five New Year's Resolutions

Hi, everyone! I’m back from my vacation with the grandparents. I had a blast. Pictures and stories will be coming soon, I promise! Oh, and my parents had a great time in Central America too.

While I was out Isabella and Texas both tagged me with the New Year’s Resolution meme. Well, here it goes…
1. I’ll try not to destroy my parents’ couch or my doggie beds, even though I love the taste of upholstery and pillow stuffing.
2. I plan on utilizing my powers of ESP and telepathy to convince my Daddy to create more videos, especially ones with cool music.
3. Convince my parents to purchase some better tasting food! They can’t expect me to perform fancy tricks for kibble that tastes like cedar chips.
4. Play more soccer, improve my frisbee catching skills and practice more ball-bouncing.
5. Continue to meet new and exciting pets in the blogosphere.

Happy Holidays!
Tomorrow I am headed over to my grandparents' house. I will be spending Christmas and New Year's Day with them while my parents vacation in Central America.
I love staying with the grandparents because 1) I get to play with my pug uncle Rocky 2) the folks spoil me rotten with treats and yummies 3) they have a king size bed!
Since I won't be posting until 2007, I'd like to leave you with a holiday message.
