Cairo passed away suddenly last week. We are still in shock and don't quite have the words to describe it. She was playing outside with our daughter, galloping about happily, when she just collapsed and stopped breathing within minutes. It must have been a massive stroke because she was gone by the time we brought her to the vet.

She was the most sweet, loving creature and was such a fine gift to our family. We are so thankful for the joy and happiness she brought to our household. We will never forget her love, beauty and companionship.

oh my gosh! i was so sorry to check in on Cairo & read this! i've kept touch with your blog for some time & checked in periodically after your posts slowed down. i think i even tweeted you once on behalf of my 2 boxers (dailyboxer.blogspot.com). my heart goes out to you like everyone else! nothing anyone says can really make it better. and obviously all of us who have lost a loved boxer still hurt in our hearts for them daily. i hope that you can consider another boxer one day & continue the blog & twitter posts. there are plenty of us out there that would love to see you back!

So sorry for your loss...I loved checking in with Cairo and seeing her antics, so similar to our own boxer.

I'm glad there was not a long suffering in her passing...

Thinking of you as you miss her...She was a sweetie!
