"Way To Kill A Cute Pup's Soul"

a.ka. How To Transform a Cute Boxer Into A Mean-Looking Junkyard Dog

Saturday's post at the Daily Puppy featured a Boxer named Hurricane. There are pictures of the cute pup before and after his ear cropping. This is not only a cruel and painful procedure for the dog, but it takes away one of the cutest features of a Boxer--their velvety floppy ears.

We never even considered cropping Cairo's ears. Look at that cute puppy...

How could one ever think of harming those soft ears and that angelic Boxer soul...

Oh, no, don't ever, ever cut those cute floppy ears. I have never understood why anyone mutilates a dog to meet some twisted "breed standard" or whatever the reason may be. I love soft, floppy puppy ears. Prissy's are naturally pointed, but her buddy Meg's are like Cairo's, and they feel like velvet.

And you know all the other boxers are going to make fun of him!

Floppy rules!

I saw those pictures the day they came out and all I could ask is "why?" Those pointy things on his head look like they are not even part of the dog.
