Cairo and Maddie Wrap-Up
two Boxers have thoughts...
I've an idea. Let's yank Mommy's bag off the bed and take it for a spin!
Next time don't eat garlic pizza before we make out!
Ok, tomorrow let's try to drive these humans even crazier than today...

Boxer Pool Party
Maddie and I have been having a blast running around the house, bugging the humans and barking at every single noise we hear outside!
This afternoon Mommy filled up my pool. I don't enjoy going inside but Maddie had a blast. They threw a rubber Kong toy in the water and Maddie splashed and splashed and splashed...
Here's part one of our pool party:
The pool party came to a quick end, as you can see in part two:
I don't really mind that the pool has been destroyed. I never liked it anyways.

My House Guest
My Boxer friend Maddie is going to be staying with us this week...and what a fun week it is going to be! Her parents are on vacation so she doesn't go back home until next Friday. Here I am (left) trying to lick her.
Maddie wanted to use the computer, but we couldn't figure out which buttons to push.
So we were content in running around the house.

The Tao of Puppies
Ground control to Major Cairo...
From high atop his North Pole lair, Zach put out the call for puppy picture week.
Here's a post from last year which tells "my story".
And click here for an exclusive CairoTheBoxer puppy slideshow!

The Dog Days of Summer
I don't know if it's global warming or the radiation from the nuclear power plant forty miles south, but it is damn hot here in Southern California. We've taken extraordinary measures to stay cool.
The pool thing didn't work well--I'm afraid of water--so I stay inside all day with fans and air conditioning, and then I walk and play soccer with Daddy after sundown. Also, I've become highly skilled at catching flies in the house. I can stop a rogue fly with a quick Boxer judo chop!
Here I am waiting contently while my parents fix me a meal...
I got lucky--they gave me wet food by Nutro. I'm not a fan of the hard kibble.
And what better way to finish off a meal than with an ice cold beer...
Daddy lets me sniff it, that's all.
Hope you're staying cool.

Summertime
And the living is easy...
That's me at the Huntington Dog Beach last summer. I hope we go back this summer. I was still a puppy back then, and was a bit afraid of the waves. But now I'm a teenage Boxer and brave enough to face the surf.
What are your favorite summer activities?

Safety First
If your parent or guardian ever lets you in the driver seat of their car please refuse their offer. Canines were not meant to operate automobiles. The consequences can be tragic.

Boxer Soccer
I told you Zidane has got nothing on me. I play fair and don't head-butt my opponents in the chest. I just chase the ball around until I'm too tired to move.

Fireworks
Why do humans feel the need to detonate loud exploding devices to celebrate a national holiday? Seriously. Why? Can't they just run around, jump up and down, and sing and howl to celebrate?
Last night there was a fireworks show about two blocks from my house. It freaked the living daylights out of me. Daddy had to stay inside and hold me tightly on the couch while Mommy and her friends watched the fireworks outside. Once the bombastic outdoor war games ended I stayed glued to the couch for another hour, too afraid to move.
Think of us animals next time, please! We have feelings (and sensitive ears) too!
