Cairo the Grand-doggy

Finally! some pictures from my vacation (when my parents left the country last month).

Here I am with my uncle Rocky. My grandparents took us to play at the park.

I love eating grass. It doesn't taste that good--but it's everywhere! and it's so much fun to rip out of the ground after running around the park. Rocky seemed confused as to why I enjoyed eating this stuff. He says it's for cows and sheep, not dogs (he's a lot older and wiser than I am).

My grandparents really wore me out at the park everyday. So when I returned to their house I was pooped!

I can't wait for my parents to go on another vacation so I can spend time with my grandparents.

Don't you just love vacations?!

I'm surprised to hear that Rocky doesn't like to eat grass... I would have thought that he'd have some nice recipes.

Oh yeah... and Hiya Rocky!
Thanks for keeping an eye on Cairo!

A good dog is a tired dog. Ginger is our youngest (she’s two), so she requires more giddy-up to tire her out. Her favorite thing to do is to chase her horse-ball (she’s ½ Rhodesian Ridgeback – those jaws of hers will destroy anything else) off the second story of our back deck down into the yard. My husband can throw it almost to the fence near one corner. Down the stairs Ginger hurls herself, around the lower deck and out into the yard. We do this every day (weather permitting). She's actually worn a trench in the grass.

Cairo looks tired and happy. Rocky is an adorable dog. Such a sweet face. I’ll bet Cairo runs him ragged when they play together.

Sounds like you had a good time with the grands! Did'ja get to pull the covers off their bed?

Cairo, you are SOOOO lucky to have grandparents nearby. Mine are all really far away and airplanes are not my thing. As for grass, I like to rip it out of the ground and twirl it around my mouth for a while (but since you have a Trader Joe's nearby, tell your parents you'll stop eating grass if they buy you the Holistic Natural Canine Treats by Bench & Field. They're my favorites).

I wish I had grandparents! Looks like they would be lots of fun. I like to eat grass, too. Linda tries to make me stop and tells me I am not a cow.
